Sputtering Tools have been used for decades to create thin-films in the semiconductor and architectural glass industries and more recently in liquid crystal displays. Sputtering is a low-cost, proven process that can deposit highly repeatable, uniform metal layers on a glass substrate.

The auto and architectural glass industries have used Glass Lamination Tools to create multi-layer glass products since the early 1900’s.

Chemical Vapor Deposition Furnaces are used to create high-quality, high-performance solid materials for the semiconductor industry. This is a low-cost, proven tool that Stion uses to create a high-quality transparent conducting oxide that generates a unique light scattering effect and ultimately gives the module it’s superior aesthetics.

Stion employs the use of Glass Conveyance Equipment adapted from the glass industry. The United States glass industry efficiently moves over 20 million tons of glass per year.
